The Media Committee responsible for the coverage of the Shura Council's Tenth Term Elections convened a meeting on Tuesday, presided over by Mohammed Said Al Balushi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information.

During the meeting, the committee discussed its preparations for the upcoming Voting Day, scheduled for October 29, 2023. It emphasized the Media Centre's readiness, which has been established to facilitate the work of Arab and international media delegations invited to report on the elections.

The committee also highlighted that all technical and engineering facilities are in a state of readiness to operate at full capacity and support local media agencies. This includes radio and TV studios allocated within the Ministry of Interior.

Furthermore, the committee emphasized that it has mobilized all necessary human and material resources to comprehensively cover Election Day. This coverage aims to showcase the high standards of the electoral process, which incorporates modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The media coverage will closely track the preliminary indicators of voting, which will be announced in the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
