The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) has urged owners of tourist and cruise boats that currently have temporary registration to visit the Ministry's ship registration departments to complete the permanent registration procedures.

A statement issued online by MTCIT said: "The Ministry announces to all owners of tourist  and cruise boats  that are registered "temporarily" that it is necessary to visit the ship registration departments of the  ministry to complete the permanent registration procedures."

"Note that the necessary legal measures will be taken in the event that the required registration procedures are not completed," the statement added.
