Private entities, commercial enterprises, and social media accounts are prohibited from utilizing the Royal Emblem on diverse commercial goods without first securing a license from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP).

MoCIIP released a statement emphasizing, "Private institutions, commercial companies, and social media accounts are expressly forbidden from employing the Royal Emblem, the national flag, and the map of the Sultanate of Oman on any commercial items, except with a proper license from the Ministry."
